Emergency locksmith,
any hour of the day.
Locked out of your home, car or business? Keys lost, stolen or snapped in the lock? Our emergency locksmiths are on call 24/7 across New Zealand — and you'll know the price before we start.
If you're locked out, this is us
Most emergency calls fall into one of these. If yours isn't listed, phone anyway — we'll tell you honestly whether we can help.
House lockouts
Door slammed behind you, key left inside, or a lock that's stopped turning. We get you back in, usually without touching the lock.
Car lockouts
Keys locked in the car or boot. We open a wide range of vehicles safely, without the smashed-window horror stories.
Business lockouts
Can't open the shop, office or warehouse? We'll get you trading again and can re-secure the premises if needed.
Lost or stolen keys
We can rekey the lock so the old keys no longer work, or cut and program a fresh set — including car keys and remotes.
Broken keys in locks
Snapped a key off in the door or ignition? We extract the broken piece and, where needed, cut you a replacement on the spot.
Break-in repairs
After an attempted or actual break-in we can secure the property fast — replacing damaged locks so you can sleep tonight.
Clear, calm, and no surprises
You call, we listen
Tell us where you are and what's happened. We'll confirm we can help, agree an upfront price, and give you a realistic ETA.
We're on our way
The nearest available locksmith heads to you with a fully stocked van, so most jobs are finished in a single visit.
Back in, and secure
You're inside or back on the road. We check everything works, confirm the agreed price, and you're sorted.
What to do when you're locked out in New Zealand
Being locked out is stressful, but it's rarely an emergency in the dangerous sense — so the first thing to do is take a breath. Check the obvious first: back doors, windows, a spare key with a neighbour or in a lockbox. If you're standing outside in the cold or it's late, get somewhere safe and warm before you start problem-solving.
Resist the urge to force a door or window. In our experience, the damage people do trying to break back into their own home usually costs far more than the callout would have — a cracked door frame or a broken window is a much bigger bill than a lockout. It's also worth being wary of "cheap" quotes that sound too good to be true; the classic trick is a low phone price that balloons on arrival. That's exactly why we quote you a real price up front and stick to it.
Car lockouts
If keys are locked in the car and there's a child or pet inside on a hot day, treat it as a genuine emergency and call 111 first. Otherwise, a mobile automotive locksmith can usually open the vehicle without damage and, if the keys are lost rather than locked in, cut and program a replacement. Modern transponder and proximity keys are more involved than the old cut-metal keys, so have your make, model, year and registration ready when you call.
After a break-in
If you've come home to signs of a break-in, don't go inside — call the Police on 111 from a safe place. Once it's safe and any scene has been cleared, we can replace damaged locks and re-secure doors and windows quickly, so the property is locked down again the same day.
If anyone is in danger, or a child or pet is locked in a hot car, call 111 first. A locksmith is for property access — not life-threatening emergencies.
